The Devil’s Dev

Vietnam · ICT · GMT+7

Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Da Nang have fast-growing international business communities, and a domestic market that searches, compares and messages almost entirely in Vietnamese. We build English-led websites for international clients, and Vietnamese versions that local customers trust.

What matters here

  1. Zalo is the front door.

Most Vietnamese customers expect to message a business on Zalo, and many on Facebook Messenger. We link your Zalo Official Account and Messenger where they belong, and keep a structured form for enquiries that need detail.

  2. Vietnamese is a typesetting job.

Vietnamese stacks diacritics above and below letters. Fonts without full Vietnamese support switch typeface mid-word, and tight line heights clip the tone marks. We choose fonts that support it properly and test on real phones.

  3. Paid by QR.

Bank QR codes and e-wallets such as MoMo are how many people prefer to pay. We build payment and deposit flows through providers that support them, with prices in VND.

English-led

English-led, for international clients.

International schools, consultancies, restaurants and hospitality businesses with an expat or visitor clientele need a fast, clear English site: prices, locations and a quick way to book or enquire.

  • Clear service and pricing pages in English
  • Google Business Profile and Maps for every location
  • WhatsApp for international customers, Zalo for local ones
  • Light pages, tested on mid-range phones

Going local

Vietnamese, for the domestic market.

A Vietnamese version opens the domestic market, but only if it is built as a first-class site with its own URLs, metadata and voice.

  • Separate /vi/ pages with hreflang vi-VN alongside English
  • Typefaces with full Vietnamese diacritic support, at every weight
  • Translation by a native professional, using local search terms
  • Zalo Official Account and Messenger integration

Data protection · Decree 13/2023 and the PDP Law

Vietnam regulates personal data under Decree 13/2023 and its Personal Data Protection Law, in force since 1 January 2026. Both affect how your website collects, stores and transfers customer data, including across borders.

  • Clear notice and consent before personal data is collected
  • Only what the enquiry or booking needs
  • Separate consent for marketing messages
  • Hosting and cross-border data transfers agreed with your advisers before launch

We build to the requirements your business and its advisers define. This describes how we design, not legal advice or a compliance certification.

Questions

Do you have an office in Vietnam?

No. The studio is founder-led and remote on Bangkok time, which is also Vietnam time. We agree meeting times, channels and review points at the start of every project.

Can the website connect to Zalo?

Yes. At minimum we link to your Zalo Official Account from the right places. Deeper integrations, such as notifications or follow-up messages, depend on your Zalo account type and are confirmed during discovery.

Should we use a .vn domain?

It can help local trust for a Vietnamese-first business. Registration has local requirements, so we check them with you first. For a regional business, one domain with language folders is usually simpler.

Can you write the Vietnamese content?

Final copy should come from your team or a native professional translator. We plan the structure, coordinate the work and check the result before launch.
